Day Three in Hawaii

Hana - Maui

I went on the hostel's Hana tour today. It was quite a long drive with many windy roads and little one way bridges to cross. We stopped along the way for lunch where I had my first wish taco. We then went to this park which had a black sand beach, the blowhole and caves. We jumped into the water of the caves and went exploring through them .We went through small spaces and swam through holes and under gaps. It was pitch black besides the one light shining from Simon's torch. We then had to scale this wall to get out and then climb along this path. After exploring the other sites in the park a little more, we went to go hiking but the road was closed. So we went to the Red Sand beach instead. Here I jumped off this huge rock. We also drove past Oprah's house. Towards the end of the afternoon we went to our alternative hike. Apparently tourists don't normally go there and Simon doesn't like showing people. We hiked through a bamboo forests covered in mud. We crossed streams and swung from ropes to help us cross some rocks. We also had to climb up a face wall with a rope. We reached one waterfall and climbed that also. Then swam downstream, walked some more and then got to the big waterfall at the end. It was amazing. We didn't get to spend much time there as it was dark. We started to travel back. It was dark by the time we reached the halfway point. It was so scary and hard hiking through at night. I got very muddy. Today was the biggest adventure that I have ever had in my whole life.n835375205..32_4489.jpg
