Mia's Hawaii Trip 2007

Today Dena and I slept in big time. We didn't get up till after 11am. Today I was going up to Mauna Kea. On the tour we firstly stopped at Rainbow Falls. It was a waterfall infront of a lava tube and was pretty nice. We then went to the visitors centre at Mauna Kea. Here we watched a video and I bought a little present for Yanni. We then went up towards the summit. We did this little hike to the top, the highest point. You could see the telescopes and astronomy areas. We watched an amazing sunset and there was snow. Then we headed back down to the visitors centre. The guide gave us a stargazing talk. Showing us all the constellations and planets. I have never seen so many stars in my life. Then we just had the drive home. The tour guide was so nice to me and gave me a hug at the end of the tour. I came back to the hostel and watched Wedding Crashers with everyone, then spoke to mum and dad. I then helped Dena pack, well I didn't really help much, I just sat and watched her pack.
